Stop by and check out the best of the season sales; you won’t want to miss it! Music, street performers, chalk walk, 160th birthday party for Bradley’s, sales, arts, crafts, food and fun, will be had at Delavan’s festival.

There are many great shops to visit while in downtown Delavan including: Brick Street Market, Bibliomaniacs, Delavan Gold & Diamond Exchange, Remember When, Scene II, Bradley’s Department Store, Hair Techniques, Pac Ratz and many more. Don’t forget Lubick Gallery on South Third Street just down from the Hallmark Store.

It will be a fun, arts & crafts related festival & sales event. At the turn of the last century Delavan was an art colony from 1895- 1910. Students from the Chicago Art Institute came to Delavan to study. Downtown Delavan wants to have the feel of an art mecca again! Delavan wants to attract artists to our downtown. We’ve been slowly moving in that direction; the last four years we’ve had Public Art displays throughout the summer.

Delavan Daze Tentative Schedule of Events:
Friday, August 10:
8 a.m.– Set up of the Adult Sidewalk Chalk Artists.
9 a.m. – Adult Chalk Artists begin working on Sidewalk Chalk Art.
9 a.m.– All Day: Flea Market & Crafts in Tower Park; Sidewalk Sales of local businesses; Food in Tower Park; Enjoy the Children’s Chalk Walk Around the Library (completed Thurs. Aug. 9)
Noon -4 p.m. – Friends of Aram Library Members-Only Preview Book Sale;
Sale in the Library Meeting Room. Buy A Membership at the Door for $5.
1:00-2 p.m. – Arts & Crafts for Kids in Tower Park Compliments of the DBA.
2 p.m. – Happy 160 Birthday Party for Bradley’s Dept. Store in Tower Park:
Cake will be served.
2 p.m. – Chalk Walk Art Completed throughout downtown Delavan.
4 p.m. – Judging of Chalk Walk

Saturday August 11:
8 a.m. -3 p.m. – Friends of Aram Library Book Sale; Under the Tent Outside the Library.
9 a.m.– All Day: Flea Market & Crafts in Tower Park; Sidewalk Sales of local businesses; Food in Tower Park; Enjoy the Children’s Chalk Walk around the Library, & Adult Chalk Walk throughout downtown. Clown Alley performs throughout downtown.
11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.–Music in Tower Park by “The Siblings.”
Noon-1:30 p.m. – Arts & Crafts for Kids in Tower Park Compliments of the DBA.
12:30 p.m. – Favorite Chalk Walk Design Announced….when “The Siblings” are done performing.
2 p.m.– Cruisin’ Car Show & Model Car Show around Phoenix Park Band Shell.
2 p.m. – Music by TNT in Phoenix Park Band Shell.
3 p.m. – Music by Blackwater Bill in Phoenix Park Band Shell.
4 p.m. – Music by Trip Effect in Phoenix Park Band Shell.
5 p.m. – Music by Saturday June in Phoenix Park Band Shell.
7 p.m. – Music by Jeremiah “Elvis” Micolichek in Phoenix Park Band Shell.
